Umesh Chitlangia elected as Chairman, Siddharth Agrawal is new Vice Chairperson

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on Thursday elected Umesh Chitlangia, Chief Managing Director of Polybond Insulation Pvt Ltd, as the Chairman of its Chhattisgarh State Council for the year 2022-23.
The Director of Godawari Power and Ispat Ltd, Siddharth Agrawal will be the Vice-Chairperson of the industry body. The announcement was made at the annual meeting of the CII Chhattisgarh State Council held here on Thursday.
Sharing his priorities while heading the trade association for next one year, Chitlangia said, “Our initiatives during the year would focus on policy advocacy.” He said the association was confident that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Chhattisgarh will reach a new height in India.”
CII will step up its activities to attract greater volume investments across sectors in Chhattisgarh, he said, adding that they would also work to expedite the Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) inked for investment in the state that has been endowed with precious minerals.
Interacting with the media, Vice-Chairman Siddharth Agrawal said they had made a “solemn pledge” to step up CII activities and work hand-in-hand with the Government of Chhattisgarh and other stakeholders to help realize the vision of taking the State on the road to robust industrial activities, fast growth and all-round development.
Appreciating the Electric Vehicle policy of the government, the new CII Vice Chairman said efforts would be made to establish a manufacturing unit of electric vehicles in the state.
