Chhattisgarh gives boost to infra development

In a major boost to the infrastructure development, Chhattisgarh government led by Bhupesh Baghel has approved construction of over 21,000 housing units across the state.

The project will entail an investment of whopping Rs 664.17 crore, a state government spokesperson said. In all, 21,340 units will be constructed under the project.

The project will be executed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in 126 urban local bodies across the state. The proposal was given nod in the 20th meeting of the State Level Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (SLSMC) held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain on Friday.
