Chhattisgarh Govt declares Ghasimunda revenue village

On the initiative of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the state government has declared Ghasimunda as a revenue village.

Residents of Ghasimunda village are elated as their 16-year-old demand has been fulfilled. They reached the CM camp office and expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.

BDC Sarita Pankra of the area said that the local residents were struggling for a long time to make Ghasimunda village a revenue village. They requested the Chief Minister when he was Member of Parliament. Sai was continuously making efforts in this direction. After becoming the Chief Minister, he has fulfilled the promise made to the residents of Ghasimunda and declared it a revenue village.

Former Sarpanch Vishweshwarsai said that the upgradation would benefit 2778 villagers staying in the village will get benefit. Once the Patwari office starts functioning in the village, people will be relieved from running around for petty works. A village elderly Baijnath Sai also spoke on the same line, expressing his gratitude to the Chief Minister.

After declaring Ghasimunda as a revenue village, the number of revenue villages in the district has increased to 770. According to the final publication order by the Land Records Branch, the number of revenue villages has become 101 in Farasbahar Block and 770 in the district. The population of this village, declared as a revenue village, is 2718, the number of Khasra numbers is 943 and the area is 1066 hectares.
