Chhattisgarh Govt transfers 23 IAS officers

Twenty-three Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officials were affected in a major administrative reshuffle executed by the Chhattisgarh government on Wednesday evening.

Of it, only two District Collectors had been transferred. With just six months left for the elections, the corridor of power was buzzed with the reports that a few District Collectors would also be changed.

The state government changed the Mahasamund Collector Nilesh Kshirsagar, an IAS officer of 2011-batch. The District Collector of Gariyaband, Prabhat Malik, IAS officer of 2015 batch, would succeed him in Mahasamund. Akash Chhikara, IAS officer of 2017 batch, would be the new District Collector of Gariyaband.

Besides, Divisional Commissioners of Bilaspur, Raipur and Sarguja have been changed.
