Innovative initiative of the government to bring awareness for environmental protection

Chhattisgarh Environment Protection Board (CECB) is taking innovative initiatives to bring awareness for environmental protection.
Under its aegis, Chhattisgarh is set to administer oaths to over 500,000 people under the Mission Life program on June 1 for environment protection. This is an innovative initiative of the CECB to bring awareness through public participation in the field of environmental protection, in which more than five lakh people will take oath in a single day to bring changes in their daily lives for environmental protection.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has appealed to people of the state to cooperate in maximum numbers by participating in the campaign of CECB. This is not only an oath but a public campaign, which will set a record in Nava Chhattisgarh.
The CECB has geared up for the event and organized a meeting with the education department of the state, officers and employees of all government and non-government departments, people associated with public and private sector industries, school-college students, members of local organizations, social organizations and self-help groups. It has appealed to become a part of the world record by participating in this great campaign in maximum numbers.
The move will bring change in the environment, as Chhattisgarh will create a new record in the whole country. The oath can be taken in Hindi or English in group or individually and its photo or video can be sent on WhatsApp number 7415781776, 7415796619 or 9109028361 from 08:00 am to 05:00 pm on Thursday, CECB spokesperson Amar Prakash Savant said.
If the oath is taken in a group, then a certificate of the number of persons who have taken the oath will also have to be included in WhatsApp.
The pledge is as follows: “I pledge that I will make every possible change in my daily life to save the environment, I also pledge to educate my family, friends and others about the importance of environment friendly habits and behaviours and will continuously inspire.”
