The schools and colleges would reopen in Chhattisgarh from February 15 after COVID-19 induced lockdown.
The state cabinet today gave its nod to start offline classes for students of 9th to 12th Std in all the schools of the state. Besides schools, the offline classes in universities and colleges would also start from Monday, state government spokesperson said after the cabinet meeting that was chaired by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
The state cabinet had also decided to restart all the skill development training programs in the state. “All the prescribed guidelines and protocols issued by the Central and the State Government from time to time would be followed to prevent COVID infection in the classrooms,” the spokesperson said.
The state government had decided to raise “Bastar Fighters” Special Forces in all the districts of Bastar Division. The state cabinet gave its nod to the proposal.
The meeting also approved a slew of proposals to boost the infrastructure development in the state. “Rajiv Nagar Awas Yojana” would be launched to construct 1 lakh units for the homeless people across the state. To encourage investment, employment and settlements in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, a proposal for re-determination of development fee of infrastructure at the sector-level was approved.
