Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday distributed the portfolios to his council of ministers that was constituted a week ago.
Sai along with his two deputies Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma took oath on December 13. The council of ministers was constituted on December 22 and the departments were distributed today. It includes:
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai: General Administration, Mineral Resources, Energy, Public Relations, Commercial Taxes (Excise), Transport and other departments (which have not been allocated to any minister).
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao: Department of Public Works, Public Health Engineering, Law and Legislative Affairs and Urban Administration.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma: Department of Home and Jail, Panchayat and Rural Development, Technical Education and Employment, Science and Technology.
Cabinet Ministers:
Brijmohan Agarwal: School Education, Higher Education, Parliamentary Affairs, Religious Trusts and Endowments, Tourism and Culture Department.
Ram Vichar Netam: Tribal Development, Scheduled Caste Development, Backward Class and Minority Development, Agricultural Development and Farmers Welfare Department.
Dayal Das Baghel: Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department.
Kedar Kashyap: Forest and Climate Change, Water Resources, Skill Development and Cooperation Department.
Lakhanlal Dewangan: Commerce and Industry and Labor Department.
Shyam Bihari Jaiswal: Public Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education, Twenty Point Implementation Department.
O P Chaudhary: Finance, Commercial Tax, Housing and Environment, Planning Economics and Statistics Department.
Smt. Lakshmi Rajwade: Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Department.
Tank Ram Verma: Sports and Youth Welfare, Revenue and Disaster Management Department.
