Chhattisgarh government will increase the orbit of services it has been providing under Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana, facilitating denizens to get ration cards on dial.
Following the instructions of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the services of Mitan Yojana have been expanded, a state government spokesperson said. Now ration cards can be made sitting at home, the spokesperson said, adding that to get a ration card, the applicant has to dial toll free number 14545.
“It gives us pleasure to inform you all that we have decided to include ration cards in the Mitan Yojana,” the Chief Minister said in a tweet. The Mitan (friend in Chhattisgarh dialect) will reach the caller’s address, complete the documents formality and deliver the ration card at the doorstep, Baghel said.
Under the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Mitan Yojana launched last year, the Bhupesh Baghel government has taken the governance to the doorstep of people in the urban area. A citizen can get all kinds of government documents sitting at home. The Yojana started in all the 14 municipal corporations of the state.
According to officials, services received under Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana include birth certificate, correction in birth certificate, death certificate, correction in death certificate, native certificate, marriage registration and certificate, income certificate, other backward class certificate, scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe certificate, shop and establishment registration documents, copy of land record, land information (land use), Aadhaar card registration, (for children up to 5 years) Aadhaar card address and mobile number correction, PAN Application form for obtaining the number, PAN update and duplicate etc. services can be obtained from the MITAN service from the comfort of your home.
