Chhattisgarh has reported eight deaths due to COVID and co-morbidity in the last 24 hours; the toll increasing from Friday’s figure of five.
According to state health department communication, two persons died of COVID while four due to co-morbidity. While three people died in Raipur, two each were reported from Korba and Raigarh. One person died in Durg district.
Meanwhile, the number of COVID cases has come down in the state on Saturday compared to the previous day. On Friday, 6153 cases were reported across the state that had scaled down today as 5525 new cases were registered in Saturday.
In all, 56717 tests were conducted today. The state, as on today, has 32139 active cases.
