The second convention of the Chhattisgarh State Central Bank Retirees Federation, Raipur, was held in a dignified and graceful atmosphere at Niranjan Dharamshala, located on VIP Road.
The Chief Guest of the programme was Mahamandaleshwar Rajeshree Mahant Ramsundar Das Ji Maharaj. The event was presided over by R K Kerketta, Deputy General Manager and Regional Head, Central Bank of India, Raipur. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. This was followed by the felicitation of the guests with shawls, shrifals, garlands and mementoes.
Chief Guest Mahamandaleshwar Rajeshree Mahant Ji Maharaj, while addressing the gathering, stated that people deposit their hard-earned money in banks with complete trust and faith. This trust existed in the past, continues to exist today, and he expressed hope that it would remain strong in the future as well. He also mentioned that Dau Mahendra Agrawal, President of the Chhattisgarh State Central Bank Retirees Federation who also happens to be the Secretary of Jaitu Sav Math is handling the administrative work with complete dedication. He further expressed his personal trust in the Central Bank of India.
While presiding over the programme, R K Kerketta stated that it is because of the contributions of all present retirees that the Bank has been able to achieve a business volume of approximately ₹7.75 lakh crore today. He added that even now, the Bank requires the support, guidance, and blessings of all retirees.
The National President of the Retirees Federation, S M Deshpande (Pune), also addressed the gathering. The welcome address was delivered by Mahendra Agrawal, President of the Chhattisgarh Federation.
Distinguished guests present at the programme included Ashok Patil, National General Secretary (Mumbai), social worker Ajay Tiwari, along with several eminent citizens and retired bank officials. The vote of thanks was presented by Kamal Jain.
Others present during the occasion included Suresh Bani (Chairman), R G Hishikar, Madhukar Gandhi, Shankar Lal Kshatriya, Hari Om Prakash Devangan, Sadashiv Gofne, Purushottam B. Chopkar, Niranjan Singh Yadav, Kamlesh Kumar Jain, Ms. Diksha Dongre, Media In-charge Nirmal Das Vaishnav, Ram Lochan Tripathi, along with a large number of office bearers and members of the CG Federation.
