The Suresh Agrawal Memorial Hira Group Cricket Tournament 2022 will start from December 26.
The tournament under the aegis of Hira Group Sports and Cultural Association will be held at the Hira Group Sports Ground, Opposite Ram Vatika, Near Urja Park, VIP Road, Raipur. The limited over Cricket Tournament will see the participation of leading Corporate. The prominent among them include Hira Group, Godawari Power and Ispat Limited, Jindal Steel and Power, Sarda Energy, Bank of Baroda, Indian Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Niros Ispat, Jaika Automobiles, IndSind Bank and others.
Association President Vinod Pillai informed that 24 teams will be participating in the tournament. The opening match will be played between Godawari Power and Ispat Limited and HDFC Bank at 5.30 pm. In the tournament, league matches will be of 12 overs while pre-quarter and quarter final matches will be played with 15 overs. The semi-final and final matches will be of 20 overs, Pillai said.
In all, 67 matches will be played in the tournament that will continue till December 14.
The winner team and runners up will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs 1,51,000 and 75,000 respectively. Besides, there are a number of trophies and cash awards for the winner and runner ups, semi-finalists and best players in each category as well as for the Man of the Tournament.
