Chhattisgarh will build 5000 new Anganwadi centres across the state that will give a boost to education and infrastructure.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel made the announcement at the Aabhar Sammelan organized by the Women and Child Development Department here in the state capital on Tuesday. Health Minister T S Singh Deo, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Anila Bhediya were present on the occasion.
Besides 5000 Anganwadi buildings, the Chief Minister said the Anganwadi workers and assistants would be honored on November 14 in the entire state. The annual income limit under Saksham Yojana will be increased from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh, he said, adding the upper-limit for sanction of loan to women self-help groups will be increased from Rs 4 lakh to Rs 6 lakh.
As a token of appreciation Anganwadi workers, assistants, and mitanins gave mementos to the Chief Minister. Baghel honored 6 Anganwadi workers and 5 Mitanins for their outstanding performance.
With slogans like “Maan Badhaya Apne Aapka Aabhar, Chhattisgarh Sarkar Bharose ki Sarkar,” Anganwadi workers and Mitanins who came from different districts expressed their gratitude towards the Chief Minister. While visiting different stalls, the Chief Minister also saw the items made by women self-help groups and stalls set up by the health department.
Ms. Nandini, Anganwadi worker of Dharsiva on behalf of all anganwadi worker’s thanked the Chief Minister for increasing the honorarium.
