Raipur, March 6
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday shifted to the official bungalow after performing all religious rituals.
The bungalow earmarked for the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister is located in the civil lines area of the state capital. Since assuming office on December 13, Sai has been performing his duties from Pahuna—the state guest house in Raipur.
Sai will be the fourth occupant of the bungalow that was allocated as Chief Minister’s official residence after the separate state of Chhattisgarh came into being and Ajit Jogi took over as state’s first Chief Minister on December 1, 2000. During BJP’s 15 years term, Dr Raman Singh stayed in the same bungalow that was later occupied by Bhupesh Baghel when Congress government came to power.
A state government spokesperson said Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai along with wife Kaushalya Sai and family members performed puja in the bungalow and completed all the rituals of “Grih Pravesh”. The Sai couple sought the blessings of the elder members of the family, who were present on the occasion.
