Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said the state had been endowed with rich agriculture potential and would become the global hub for food processing.
“Our country is based on agriculture and has great potential for development in the food processing industry sector. Chhattisgarh will become the global center of food processing,” Sai said while addressing an event organised by trade bodies in the state capital. The Chief Minister said that they were expanding the economy by including Sarguja and Bastar in the mainstream of development. There are great opportunities for the industry in both these sectors. In both places, a great deal can be done with organic produce and minor forest produce.

By including the skill development course in the schools of the state, the children are becoming gifted along with their studies.
Sai said to meet the demand of skilled professionals, they are going to start a new Institute of Technology in Chhattisgarh. “In this budget we have decided to start five CITs on the lines of IITs,” Sai said.
