Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Saturday laid the foundation stone of M/s Rack Bank’s AI Data Center Park in Sector-22 of Nava Raipur Atal Nagar.

Sai said that due to the new industrial policy, industries are coming from the country and abroad for establishment in a short time, if this pace continues, then very soon a developed Chhattisgarh and developed India will be created. “This year is the silver jubilee year of the establishment of Chhattisgarh, our effort will be to inaugurate the data center on the foundation day (November 1) this year,” the Chief Minister said.

Congratulating M/s Rack Bank Management, which is going to set up the AI ​​Data Center, Sai said that the AI ​​Data Center has brought a big revolution in the field of information and technology for Chhattisgarh. It will realize the mantra of Jai Vigyan, Jai Anusandhan of their illustrious Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will become the foundation of developed Chhattisgarh.

The Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh, the growth engine of the country, is known for its coal, steel, iron ore, energy. “Now we are getting global recognition from the AI, semiconductor and software industry. Reiterating the resolve of developed Chhattisgarh, he said that we are creating such a Chhattisgarh, where the youth will also manufacture semiconductors and provide AI services. AI Data Center will promote AI based services in the state. Along with industry and business world, its direct benefit will be found in improving the standard of living of the people,” he added.

Referring to the AI ​​Mission of the Centre, the Chief Minister said that the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi had approved the India AI Mission last year. “We are proud that within a year we have done solid work on Modi ji’s vision regarding AI. Today many industries are operated by data. After the mobile revolution, now is the era of AI. AI is affecting every sphere of our life. In such a situation, Chhattisgarh’s AI revolution will become a model for the country. The establishment of AI data centers will strengthen education, medicine, entertainment or production in factories,” Sai said.

Sai said that the establishment of an AI data center will provide direct employment to more than 500 people. When an industry is set up, many other employment opportunities are also created. This AI data center established by M/s Rack Bank has a capacity of 5 MW. An investment of about one thousand crore rupees will be made in this entire project. Graphics processing units will be installed in the AI ​​data center. This will also promote computer infrastructure running on AI, semiconductor manufacturing. He said that the state government was developing Nava Raipur as an IT Medicity and Pharmaceutical Hub.

On the decision taken in the cabinet to promote digital skills, the Chief Minister said that just two days ago, the cabinet has allotted about 10 acres of land free of cost to the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) for the establishment of State of Art NIELIT in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar to promote digital skills. Because now investors do not have to run around different departments to set up industries in the state. Whether you want to set up a big industry in the state or start a startup, approvals from many government departments are available with just one click. Through the new industrial policy, we have set a target of creating about four lakh new jobs in the next five years,” Sai said

The Chief Minister said that the state can lead the country in the field of knowledge-based economy. They have excellent institutes related to IT and engineering. Along with NIT, AI-based courses are now being taught in the ITIs of the state. Availability of electricity is very important for AI data center projects. Fortunately, the state is a power surplus state. Solar energy will also be used extensively in the project by M/s Rack Bank. In such a situation, this first AI data center of the state will become a model in the country. “Recently, I got the opportunity to attend investor meets in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. Industrialists from all over the country are now eager to invest in Chhattisgarh. The AI ​​data center will accelerate the development of Chhattisgarh and provide a global platform to the abilities of young talents,” he added.
