Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district has find a place in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat.
The 122nd episode that the Prime Minister delivered today had a special significance for Chhattisgarh. Praising the work being done in Chhattisgarh under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the Prime Minister said that in Dantewada, where Maoism was once at its peak, today the flag of education is flying high there. In his address, the Prime Minister also mentioned the Bastar Olympics held in Chhattisgarh and the science labs in Maoist-affected areas.
“Friends, in ‘Mann Ki Baat’ we have already discussed the Bastar Olympics held in Chhattisgarh and the Science Lab in Maoist affected areas. The children here are passionate about science. They are also doing great in sports. Such efforts reflect how courageous the people living in these areas are. These people have chosen the path of improving their lives amidst so many challenges,” Modi said.
“I am also very happy to know that the results of Dantewada district in the 10th and 12th standard examinations have been excellent. With nearly ninety five percent result, this district topped the 10th standard results. Whereas in the 12th standard examination, this district secured the sixth position in Chhattisgarh. Imagine! Dantewada, where Maoism was once at its peak… today the flag of education is flying high there. Such changes fill us all with pride,” the Prime Minister added.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for mentioning Bastar region and Dantewada in the 122nd episode of Mann Ki Baat. The Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh government is following the Prime Minister’s footsteps of developed India and developed Chhattisgarh will play an important role in this campaign.
