Hira Ferro Alloys Limited (HFAL), a subsidiary company of Chhattisgarh-based Hira Group, has announced the commencement or commercial operations at 30 MWp (Megawatt Peak) Captive Power PV Power Plant of at Bemetra, Chhattisgarh.
“Pursuant to regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligation and Disclosure Requirement) Regulation, 2015, we are pleased to inform you that the 30 MWp Captive Solar PV Power Plant of Hira Ferro Alloys Limited ( HFAL) (A Subsidiary Company) out of total proposed 60 MWp Solar PV Power Plant situated at district Bemetara, Chhattisgarh has commissioned and duly synchronized with the grid and charged on 29th March, 2023, pursuant to the Minutes of Meetings (MOM) of Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission Company Limited (CSPTCL)/Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited (CSPDCL) and HFAL, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The power generated at Solar Power Plant will be captively consumed by HFAL, the company said, adding that the generation of solar energy will support the green initiatives of the HFAL and reduce the carbon foot print.
Hira Group’s listed arm Godawari Power and Ispat Ltd is an Integrated Steel Plant comprising manufacturing facilities for iron ore pellets, sponge iron (dri), ms billets, ferro alloys & ms wires. GPIL has power generation facilities that cater to the in-house demands and the surplus is exported to National Grid.
