At the ‘National Conclave on Adi Karma Yogi Abhiyaan’ held in the country’s capital, New Delhi, Koriya district once again recognized its development journey at the national level.
In the grand ceremony organized by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs of the Government of India, President Mrs Droupadi Murmu honored the collector of Koriya district, Mrs Chandan Tripathi for her excellent work in the village upliftment campaign of the Aba tribe. Union Tribal Affairs Minister Joel Oram and State Minister Durga Das Uike were also present on this occasion.
Chhattisgarh’s Principal Secretary Sonmani Bora was also honored by the President for his excellent performance at the state level.
About 38,000 tribal families in 154 tribal villages of Koriya district, 138 villages of Baikunthpur block and 16 villages of Sonhat block have benefited from 25 schemes of 17 departments of the government under the “Dharti Aba Tribe Village Development Campaign”. Through camps and door-to-door campaigns, the beneficiaries were connected to schemes such as Ayushman Card, PM Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, PM Ujjvala, Jati-Nivas Perman Patra, Forestry Patta, Ration Card, Kisan Credit Card, PM Awas Yojana, Sickle Cell Testing, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana and PM Viman Bima Yojana. Due to its timely implementation and innovations at the grassroots level, this initiative has become a symbol of public participation.
It is a matter of pride for the district to recognize the efforts being made in the tribal areas of Koriya district of Chhattisgarh at the national level. The honor symbolizes Korea’s achievements in innovation, public participation and sustainable development.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai expressed his happiness over the achievement and said that the honor is the recognition of those workers who have realized tribal empowerment on the ground. The aim of the state government is to connect every tribal family from Bastar to Sarguja to the mainstream of development and empower them at every level.
Ramvichar Netam, Minister of Tribal Development in the Government of Chhattisgarh and Minister-in-Charge of Koriya District, said that the achievement was the result of the hard work of the officers, field staff and public representatives, who, despite the difficult geographical conditions, have brought the light of the plans to the people.
