More than 100 families of the special backward Korva community reside in Mahupani under the Sulesa gram panchayat of Bagicha Block, about 85 km from Jashpur district headquarters. The area is situated between hilly areas and forests. The villagers had submitted a memorandum at the Chief Minister’s camp office apprising about the situation.

The camp office took a serious note and took prompt action. And it could be possible with the Prime Minister Janman Yojana in place.

For the first time in the village of the Korva tribe, which has been living in the dense shade of the forest for generations, electricity supply will illuminate the area and new avenues of education, health and employment will also open up here. People here will be able to interact with the world in a better way.

The understanding of technology will increase which will make their lives easier.

Aalu Ram, Bhadai Ram, Khulu Packara, and Rambisal Yadav of the village were excited when they got the news and said that the electricity would now transform their life. It was no less than a big celebration for the villagers, they said.
