Mrs Chhaya Mishra, a senior advocate of Patna High Court, has been appointed as a special public prosecutor of National Investigation Agency (NIA) by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
She would be the first woman lawyer to be appointed special public prosecutor in NIA for Bihar.
According to a notification issued by the union ministry of home affairs, Mrs Chhaya Mishra will represent NIA in the special designated court and High Court. She has been in the legal profession since 1996 and is engaged as central government counsel and lawyer in the ministry of Railways.
