The ministry of coal has given extension of tenure to Dr B Veera Reddy, Director Technical (DT) of Coal India Limited (CIL), who is also holding additional Charge of the post of Director (Marketing) of the state-run miner.
“Ministry of Coal vide its letter No. 21/5/2022-Establishment dated 31st Oct’22 has communicated the extension of the additional charge of the post of Director (Marketing), CIL to Dr. B. Veera Reddy, Director (Technical), CIL for further period of (03) three months w.e.f 01.11.2022 or till the appointment of a regular incumbent to the post, or until further orders, whichever is earliest,” the CIL said in a regulatory filing today.
Dr Reddy took over as the Director (Technical) of CIL in February, 2022. He did B. Tech in Mining from Kothagudem School of Mines, Osmania University in the year 1986 and obtained First Class Managers Competency Certificate by DGMS in the year 1990. He has also completed a Master of Technology in Mine Planning from Kothagudem School of Mines, Osmania University in the year 2000.
He has worked in various capacities and was working as DT, ECL before taking over as DT, CIL. He has over 34 years of rich experience in coal mining, planning, procurement, operation & grounding of green field projects.
