Coal India Limited (CIL) Chairman Pramod Agarwal on Thursday presided over a joint review meeting of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) and CMPDI at CCL Darbhanga House in Ranchi.
CCL, a Jharkhand-based arm of CIL, produced all-time high coal production of 68.85 million tonnes (MT) in the last fiscal 2021-22. In the ongoing financial year 2022-23, it has set a target of 76 MT of coal production.
Compared to the production till February in last fiscal, the company has recorded a growth of 11 per cent in coal production.
Agrawal exuded confidence that the company would be able to achieve the desired target in this fiscal year. He issued necessary instructions in this regards.
CMD CCL, PM Prasad along with Director (Personnel), H N Mishra, Director Technical (P & P) B Sairam, technical Secretary to Chairman, CIL, M K Singh and GM’s of various departments were present on the occasion. Manoj Kumar, CMD CMPDI, along with the directors of CMPDI also attended the meeting.
Prasad briefed the Chairman about the present status of coal production and offtake in mining areas through a PowerPoint presentation. The higher management of CCL is continually visiting the operational areas and motivating the employees to increase the production.
Incentive schemes have been introduced to felicitate such workforce who are contributing outstandingly in their fields. Area GMs too are motivating employees to augment daily production in their respective areas.
