State-run Coal India Limited (CIL) has categorically denied that it has stopped the supply of dry fuel to non-power customers.
A section of newspaper has carried the report wired by a news agency stating that the “Coal India temporarily halts supply to non-power customers”.
“This is to state that no such action was initiated by Coal India Limited as published,” the company said in a regulatory filing today.
In fact, in view of the low stock position of coal at the power houses and due to the spurt in economic activities, the coal supply was prioritized temporarily to the power sector, the company added.
