The 52nd meeting of the Welfare Board of Coal India Limited (CIL) was held at the South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) headquarters in Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur district on Friday.
The meeting was presided over by the Chairman of the Board and Director (Personnel) of CIL, Vinay Ranjan. S K Gomasta of CMPDI, H N Mishra of CCL, Smt Ahuti Swain of ECL, Manish Kumar of NCL, M K Ramaiah of BCCL and Debasish Acharya, Director (Personnel) of SECL were present on the occasion. The trade union was represented by Tikeshwar Singh Rathore (BMS), S P Behera (HMS), Ashok Yadav (ATC) and P S Pandey of CITU.
The meeting started with the approval of minutes of the 51st CIL Welfare Board meeting held at WCL in Nagpur in the month of August last year. There itself Including sports academies in various subsidiaries of Collindia The implementation of various welfare activities was discussed. Discussion Maintenance of staff’s accommodation, medical infrastructure, educational facilities, canteen, crèche, rest shelter, Through power point presentation on sports events etc. Presentation given.
Ranjan said that the CIL management was fully committed to provide best facilities to the workforce and continuous efforts were being made in this direction. The CIL’s 52nd Welfare Board meeting took many important decisions related to the welfare activities and improving the existing provisions.
Deputy General Manager (CSR) of CIL and General Secretary of Coal India Sports Promotion Association (CISPA) Mrs. Renu Chaturvedi, Technical Secretary Director Personnel Gautam Banerjee, General Manager (Welfare) H S Mishra, Manager (Welfare) Mool Chandra Singh were also present.
The management was represented by General Manager (Welfare) Vijayant Kumar, Chief Manager (Personnel/Welfare) M R Pujari (both MCL), Deputy General Manager (Personnel) of WCL Ajay Nath Verma, General Manager (Personnel) K Basavaiah and B Gattuswamy Manager (Personnel) of BCCL and Ratnesh Srivastava. General Manager of SECL Welfare Department (Welfare) was also present.
