Union Minister of Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi has expressed happiness in Coal Ministry’s remarkable achievement of attaining 22 lakh tonne coal dispatch to Thermal Power Plants on Thursday.
In a tweet, the Minister said that out the above quantity, 18 lakh tonne coal has been the contribution of Coal India Ltd (CIL). Congratulating all coal companies for this feat, the Minister urged them to keep increasing coal production and offtake.
The coal ministry has ramped up supply to the power plants and the minister is personally monitoring it. Joshi has visited the major coal supplying entities of the CIL that included South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) and Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL).
Besides the mining areas, Joshi inspected the loading facilities during his visits and propelled the workers in the fields to give more output.
