Ranchi, February 17
Union Minister for Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshichaired a review meeting of coal companies in Ranchi on Friday.
The senior officials of the CCL, BCCL, CMPDIL and ECL attended the meeting held at CCL HQ, Darbhanga House in Ranchi today. Besides Additional Coal Secretary Smt. Vismita Tej, Coal India Limited Director (marketing) Mukesh Choudhary, CCL CMD P M Prasad, ECL CMD A P Panda, CMD CMPDIL Manoj Kumar, Director (Personnel) H N Mishra, CVO CCL Pankaj Kumar and other officials were present during the meeting.
Joshi reviewed the coal production and annual target of each companies. He asked the management to ensure uninterrupted supply of coal to power plants so that growing demand of electricity is met in coming days. He said that the coal companies should take necessary steps to clear the bottle necks in coal evacuation and production.
The Minister asked the seniors officials to motivate the employees to make all-out efforts to scale up production & dispatch in the remaining day of ongoing financial year.
Earlier, Joshi inaugurated an Executive Hostel and Security Barrack at CCL’s Gandhinagar colony, Ranchi. The event was graced with the presence of CMD, CCL P M Prasad along with MP Sanjay Seth, MLA C P Singh, MLA Samri Lal, CMD, CMPDIL Manoj Kumar, Additional Secretary, MoC, Smt. Vismita Tej, Director (Personnel), CCL Harsh Nath Mishra, Director (Finance), CCL P K Mishra, CVO, CCL Pankaj Kumar and other dignitaries.
This newly built hostel will house 40 executives at a time. This modern hostel has also amenities like TV, Playroom, Wi-Fi etc. The Security Barrack will provide housing facility to 90 security personnel.
