Congress indifferent on INDIA, says Nitish Kumar

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who had initiated process for an united opposition against the BJP, on Thursday charged the Congress leadership with not taking “interest in INDIA”.

Nitish Kumar while speaking at a rally of the CPI here regretted that they had formed INDIA to promote Congress, but unfortunately, they are not interested at all. CPI leader D Raja, was also present at the rally. CPI is supporting Nitish government from outside.

Chief minister claimed the Congress leaders were interested in the assembly elections in five states being held this month. But, they have no time for INDIA ( inko koi chinta nahi hai, koi interest nahi hai INDIA ka), he said.

Last week while speaking at the first convocation of North Bihar Central University at Motihari, Nitish had all praise for the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for expediting establishment of the university and condemned the UPA government at the Centre for ignoring his demand for the Central University.

The Madhya Pradesh Congress President, Kamal Nath had cancelled the scheduled meeting of INDIA at Bhopal on October 4. Nitish suggested unification of the CPI and CPM and assured full support of his party. Both CPI and CPI(M) are in the Grand alliance

Chief Minister later handed over appointment letters to 1.22 lakh school teachers recommended by the Bihar Public Service Commission. He handed over letters to the teachers at a public function held at Gandhi Maidan.

He claimed youths from 14 states, including Kerala, Maharashtra have been appointed by the commission. Teachers from Oman and Qatar too have opted to teach in schools in Bihar, Nitish said.
