A special POCSO court in Muzaffarpur has issued a recovery warrant against the district SSP and the former Mushahari police station in-charge for failing to deposit the court-imposed fine and for keeping the case file pending.
The order was passed by Special Judge (POCSO) Dhirendra Mishra, who directed the district administration to execute the warrant. The fine amount is to be deposited in the Victim Compensation Fund of the Legal Services Authority.
The court noted that despite several dates, compliance was not ensured. The SSP later carried out partial compliance, following which the final affidavit was submitted. Copies of all orders and compliance reports have been sent to the Bihar DGP, ADG (Weaker Sections) and the Additional DGP.
The next hearing is scheduled for December 6, 2025.
The case dates back to 2019, when a resident of Vaishali filed a complaint alleging that his 16-year-old daughter had been lured away and sexually assaulted by three accused. The FIR was registered at Mushahari police station on 29 November 2019.
The girl was allegedly forced to marry one of the accused, and on 12 April 2019, all the accused allegedly murdered her. The complainant had earlier told the court that the accused had threatened to circulate objectionable videos of his daughter.
