A jawan of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) deployed in restive Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh died after suffering a massive heart attack on Saturday morning.
The name of the jawan has not been disclosed. He was deployed with the 222nd battalion of the CRPF and posted in the Mingachal camp in the Maoist-infested pocket of Chhattisgarh.
According to officials, the jawan was found dead in the barrack. The preliminary medical examination suggested that massive heart attack could be a possible reason for the death.
After thorough investigation and ascertaining the exact cause of death, the details of the jawan would be revealed, the officials added.
