Parsa Coal block was allotted to Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RRVUNL) to meet the coal requirement of its three thermal power projects.
Parsa coal block is in the advance stage of development and most of the necessary clearances and permissions are in place. Since Parsa coal block is allotted to RRVUNL (State Govt. Undertaking of Govt. Of Rajasthan), the land acquisition process was initiated under Coal Bearing Area (CBA) Act and the gazette publication of section 11(1) in the state of Govt. Of Chhattisgarh was done in 2018.
For the diversion of forest land in n Surguja and Surajpur Forest Divisions, Gram Sabha has been conducted by the district administration of Surajpur and Surguja and NoCs issued from both the districts. Forest Stage I Clearance was also granted by MoEF&CCand compliance was sent to MoEF & CC for issuance of Stage II order from MoEF & CC.
Parsa coal block has organised successful Public hearing for Surguja & Surajpur districts and already got the Environment Clearance approval along with Consent to Establish issued by CECB.
All the processes complied while obtaining each clearance and consent was sought from villagers first while processing forest Clearance & holding public hearing while processing for Environment Clearance. Gram Sabha NOC were also taken for FRA from both the Surajpur and Surguja district for village Janardanpur, Tara, Salhiharihrpur, Fatehpur, Ghatbarra and NOC was issued by Collector Surguja respectively.
Total 88.378 ha. Private land possession is smoothly done on in hariharpur and salhi village and more than 81.520 ha mutation completed. 80% private land acquired, and villagers are supporting the development process of mine.
Lots of CSR activity has also been done for village health, education and Livelihood, women’s upliftment, and community developments. Under Education CBSC school was opened where more than 750 local children are taking quality education while under MahilaUdyami Bahu Uddeshiya Co-operative Society (MUBBS) self-help group of women are getting better earning by engaging on the activities. RRVUNL is doing CSR works for upliftment of society and focusing on inclusive growth in the project area.
