DGCA nod at Bilaspur airport to give fresh momentum to Chhattisgarh’s growth: CM

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has approved the upgradation of Bilaspur Airport from the 3C-VFR category to 3C All Weather Operations (IFR).

Reacting to this significant decision, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai described it as an important and far-reaching step in the direction of Chhattisgarh’s development.

The Chief Minister said that with this approval, aircraft operations at Bilaspur Airport will now be possible in all weather conditions. This will strengthen regional connectivity and provide passengers with safer and more convenient air services.

He said that the availability of all-weather operations will give fresh impetus to trade, industry and tourism activities in Bilaspur and surrounding regions. The decision will not only encourage industrial investment but also help generate new employment opportunities.

Chief Minister Sai expressed heartfelt gratitude, on behalf of the people of the state, to Prime Minister   Narendra Modi and Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu for this important decision. He said that under the guidance and support of Prime Minister Shri Modi, modern infrastructure is expanding rapidly in Chhattisgarh, taking the state to new heights of development.

Expressing confidence, the Chief Minister said that this achievement will provide a new direction to the economic, social and industrial development of the entire state, including Bilaspur Airport, and further strengthen Chhattisgarh’s presence on the national aviation map.
