West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today said that after winning the state, she and her party would focus in Delhi to oust the BJP from the Centre.
Addressing a rally in Kharagpur, Mamata Banerjee said Poribortan (change) was her slogan. “Why are you copying Mamata Banerjee? After winning Bengal, we will jump to Delhi and shake BJP,” the wheelchair-bound TMC leader fumed.
Mamata claimed that the BJP leaders were arriving in choppers and planes from outside with bagful of cash to lure voters and “loot votes” just ahead of elections. “Thousands of crores of rupees were doled out by the TMC government for the cyclone-affected,” she said, adding that they rushed to be on the side of people.
The West Bengal Chief Minister said her ruling party TMC would never allow the NPR exercise in the state. “The BJP would omit names of voters if they are not found at home during the visit of enumerators. They will just evict you (people). But we would not allow them to update the register here.”
