Chhattisgarh government on Wednesday announced a 4 per cent Dearness Allowance (DA) hike for the employees ahead of Diwali festival.
The hike will be with effect from October 1, 2024, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai announced today. With the hike, the DA of Chhattisgarh government employees will now increase from 46 per cent to 50 per cent.
Over 600,000 state government employees will be benefitted by the hike. The announcement was made ahead of cabinet meeting scheduled to take place later in the day.
The central government is also likely to announced a three per cent DA hike for its employees. It will take the DA of central government employees to 53 per cent.
