The Chhattisgarh government has given a whopping 46 per cent hike in the salary of government doctors in the state.
A state government statement said on the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the salary of doctors posted in scheduled and non-scheduled areas has been increased up to 46 percent. Following the instruction, Chhattisgarh’s Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal and the Health Department executed the proposal.
There has been a historic increase in the salaries of senior residents and professors posted in the government medical colleges. The statement said the professor would now get Rs 2 lakh 25 thousand in scheduled sector and Rs 1 lakh 90 thousand in non-scheduled sector.
There has been an increase of about 46 percent in the scheduled sector and about 23 percent in the non-scheduled sector.
