E Satya Phani Kumar has taken over as Regional Executive Director of Western Region-II,
NTPC Nava Raipur on June 23, 2025.
Prior to this, Phani Kumar was Executive Director, NTPC Vindhyachal, Madhya Pradesh.New
An Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering (ETE) Engineer from Andhra University,
Visakhapatnam, Phani Kumar has joined NTPC in 1989 as an Executive Trainee. To his credit,
he did his MBA in Human Resources Management from IGNOU.
Phani Kumar has rich and varied experience in the areas of C&I Maintenance, Operation, and Operation & Maintenance. He held several important positions in a career spanning around 36 years and worked at NTPC Ramagundam, Telangana; NTPC Lara, Chhattisgarh and NTPC Vindhyachal, Madhya Pradesh. In
his illustrious career, Phani Kumar also headed NTPC Vindhyachal, the largest thermal power
plant in India with Capacity of 4760 MW.
With his rich and varied experience, NTPC Western Region-II will be benefitted greatly under his
guidance and dynamic leadership in the days to come.
