The central agency conducted the raid at the premises of 2010-batch IAS officer for the third time on Friday. Earlier, the ED had quizzed her in connection with coal and liquor scam.
Unconfirmed report said that this time, the raids were in connection with the money laundering in the reported financial irregularities in District Mineral Foundation (DMF) Fund. Besides Sahu, some other bureaucrats and Chhattisgarh Congress leader and PCC treasurer Ramgopal Agarwal were being raided.
The Korba Municipal Corporation Commissioner, Prabhakar Pandey was also covered in the raid.
On Saturday, the ED officials took the IAS officer to its office after she allegedly failed to give satisfactory reply to the queries. She was formally arrested and produced before the special court of Ajay Rajput.
The ED had sought remand of Sahu for further interrogation.
Sahu is the second IAS officer arrested by the ED in Chhattisgarh. Earlier, the ED had arrested Sameer Vishnoi in October 2023 in connection with the coal levy scam. The 2009-batch IAS officer had allegedly changed the norms that facilitated a group to collect illegal levy from the coal transporters.
