Mrs Chhaya Mishra, Vice President of Advocates Association, on Saturday demanded speedy trial of the six people charged with gang rape and murder of a minor dalit girl in Muzaffarpur district on August 12.
Mrs Chhaya Mishra said mother of the deceased girl who was a student of class nine in her FIR lodged with Paru police station has named a local muscle man, Sanjay Rai and his accomplices alleging her daughter was kidnapped from her home and later highly mutilated body with multiple injuries was found in a field.
Police dog had tracked to the house of the muscle man and a weapon used in killing the poor girl was recovered. But police could not catch the rapist.
According to the statement of the mother of the deceased,the 45 years old muscleman who was already married had pressurised her daughter to marry,but the girl refused the offer.This angered the muscleman,who kidnapped her and after criminally assaulting her with his accomplices killed her.
Mrs Chhaya Mishra told she would fight the cause of the deceased girl in the trial court free to ensure justice to the family. A special court to facilitate speedy trial should be constituted and police protection should be given to her family,Mrs Mishra demanded
