Three Indian Police Service (IPS) officers from Chhattisgarh have been conferred FICCI Smart Policing Award 2021.
The officers include Korba Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police, Raipur, Prashant Agrawal and Deputy Inspector General (CID) Himani Khanna. The officers brought laurels to the Chhattisgarh Police with their outstanding work and received the prestigious award at the function held in Delhi on Friday.
The largest and oldest apex business organisation in India, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI)) has been honouring the officers every year for the good work being done by the police of different states of the country and the central police organizations. They are conferred Smart Policing Awards.
Prominent officers from across the country including former Union Home Secretary G K Pillai and former BSF and Director General of Uttar Pradesh Police Prakash Singh are on the jury. This year, FICCI has selected three police officers of Chhattisgarh Police, SSP Raipur Prashant Agarwal, SP Korba Santosh Singh and DIG CID Himani Khanna among the 29 best police officers for smart policing across the country by giving trophy and certificate to recognise their remarkable work and outstanding contribution.
While Prashant Agrawal was recognised for cyber awareness in his Bilaspur, Santosh Singh launched the “Samandana Abhiyan ” to help the flood victims while he was posted in Raigarh. Himani Khanna was honoured for the dedication campaign run by Police Headquarters for old-aged safety.
