Chhattisgarh’s capital city is gearing up to host a grand celebration of expression and ideas in the form of Raipur Literature Festival 2026. A key review meeting of the Organising Committee was held at Samvad Bhavan in Nava Raipur to finalise preparations for this prestigious event on Tuesday.

Event blueprint finalised

During the meeting, detailed reviews were conducted on the event’s structure, participation of guests, cultural performances, literary sessions and progress of publicity and outreach.

The Chief Minister’s Media Advisor, Pankaj Jha said that the Raipur Literature Festival is not merely an event but an opportunity to establish Chhattisgarh’s intellectual, cultural and literary identity on the national stage. It was noted that the three-day festival will be organised from January 23 to January 25, 2026, at Purkhouti Muktangan in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar.

Writers and thinkers from across the country to participate

The Raipur Literature Festival 2026 will bring together renowned writers, poets, authors, journalists, thinkers and young creative minds from across India on a common platform. The festival will feature literary discussions, book releases, idea-exchange sessions, cultural performances and art presentations. A book fair will also be organised, with participation from leading publishing houses of the country.

Purkhouti Muktangan to become a hub of literature and culture

The festival will be held at Purkhouti Muktangan, Atal Nagar, Nava Raipur, where Chhattisgarh’s rich cultural heritage will blend beautifully with contemporary literary expression.

Raipur Literature Festival moving towards national recognition

It was stated in the meeting that concrete efforts are being made to place the Raipur Literature Festival 2026 among the country’s leading literary events. The festival will not only connect writers and readers but will also strengthen Chhattisgarh’s cultural image at the national level. The detailed programme schedule and list of guests will be released soon.

The meeting was also attended by Shanshak Sharma, Chairman, Chhattisgarh Sahitya Akademi; Vishwaranjan, Chief Executive Officer, Zila Panchayat Raipur; Umesh Mishra, Additional Director, Public Relations; and Alok Dev, who provided guidance for the successful organisation of the festival.
