In a prompt action to prevent political tangle, the Bihar police arrested three people under the limits of Murar police station in Buxar district in connection with the brutal killing a five-year-old boy and gang rape of mother.
The accused threw the body of the boy in the canal and later her mother’s after committing the heinous crime.
According to Buxar police, the incident took place on Saturday when the Dalit woman was going to the bank at Chogai to deposit Rs 6000. According to the FIR lodged by her husband, a migrant worker, seven people caught hold of her and tied the woman with ropes.
When her five year old son cried, they strangulated him to death and threw the body into the canal. After committing the gang rape, the woman was also thrown into the canal. They were found by the local villagers in the morning.
Sub-divisional police officer of Dumrao K K Singh and officer-in-charge of Women police station Nitu Priya visited the place and took the woman to the Sadar hospital, where she was examined by Dr Sadhna Sinha.
The child’s body was sent for post mortem.
District magistrate of Buxar constituted a medical team headed by the chief medical officer to conduct a medical examination of the victim. Report was submitted to the administration today. Dr Bhupendra Sahay, hospital superintendent said the woman had sustained serious injuries and was in traumatic condition.
The victim had named seven people in the FIR. Three of them, all between 30 and 35 years have been arrested.
Police have registered case under relevant sections of IPC and the accused have been charged with murder, rape and atrocity against the scheduled caste woman.
