Justice Dr Anshuman of Patna High Court Friday advised the lawyers to educate common man about laws related to property and land.
He was inaugurating a five-part lecture series on land and property laws. The lecture series are being organised by the Advocates Association. Justice Anshuman said all laws, rules and regulations on land property laws be simplified for the common man.
President of the Association Shailendra Kumar Singh said there were many laws on property and land which were complicated for the common litigants who are not aware of their rights.
Association Vice President Ms Chhaya Mishra, who conducted the programme, hoped practising advocates would benefit from the lectures delivered by eminent experts.
Jaishankar Prasad Singh, General Secretary of the association moved a vote of thanks. Large number of lawyers attended the lecture held at Rajendra Auditorium.
Bihar has recently launched a campaign to educate land holders on different land laws.The state has an adverse distinction of having over three lakh cases of land disputes pending in different tribunals and courts and 60 per cent of the murder cases are attributed to land disputes.
