Hira Group’s bio-mass plant in Chhattisgarh fully resumes operation

The bio-mass plant owned by an arm of Godawari Power and Ispat Limited in Chhattisgarh’s Mahasamund district has resumed operations with full capacity from Monday.

On August 4, 2023, fire incident occurred at 8 MW Bio Mass Power Plant namely Balaji Power, a unit of Hira Ferro Alloys Limited (HFAL) located at Village Belsonda District Mahasmund Chhattisgarh. HFAL is an arm of Godawari Power and Ispat Limited (GPIL), a flagship entity of Chhattisgarh-based Hira Group.

“We wish to inform you that the said Plant has resumed its operation w.e.f. 27.03.2024 under trial run and resumed its operations with full capacity w.e.f. 08.04.2024,” GPIL said in a regulatory filing today. “We are in receipt of above said information from Hira Ferro Alloys Limited on 09.04.2024,” the company added.

GPIL is a fully integrated steel company that operates across the entire steel value chain. The Company’s operations span from iron ore extraction from two mines to the production of iron ore pellets and high-value steel products.
