Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai attended the Holi Milan celebration ‘Rangotsav’ and ‘Mahamurkh Sammelan 2026’ organised by the Raipur Press Club on Monday.

Extending warm greetings to the people of the state, he stated that Holi is not merely a festival of colours, but a sacred occasion that strengthens mutual love, harmony and brotherhood. He emphasised that the festival inspires people to forget minor misunderstandings and to renew relationships with positivity and trust.

Chief Minister Sai noted that the Raipur Press Club has a proud tradition of celebrating festivals collectively. For years, the club has been strengthening social cohesion through Holi Milan gatherings and cultural programmes. He expressed hope that this vibrant tradition would continue in the years ahead. Thanking the Press Club fraternity for the invitation, he wished that the joyous festival brings renewed energy, enthusiasm and positivity into everyone’s life.

During the programme, members of the Press Club uniquely welcomed the Chief Minister by presenting him with a chilli garland and a trident-shaped pichkari, as a gesture of affection and creativity. The Chief Minister also released the club’s Holi special edition titled ‘Nonsense Times’, adding to the celebratory spirit of the event.

Chief Minister plays the nagada, Journalists Join in Celebration

The festive atmosphere reached a high point when Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai himself played the traditional nagada, doubling the gathering’s enthusiasm. As the drumbeats echoed through the venue, journalists and guests applauded warmly, and a wave of joy spread across the premises.

Joining the rhythmic beats of traditional drums, the Chief Minister participated in folk ‘Phag’ songs along with members of the media fraternity, reflecting the true spirit of Holi. The celebration witnessed a vibrant blend of music, culture and camaraderie.
