Lucknow, February 17
The NTPC Northern Regional Headquarters in Lucknow successfully hosted the NTPC Northern Electron Quiz Regional Round on February 17, 2024, with an impressive participation of 148 teams from 21 engineering and management institutes across Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand participating in the competition.
IIM Lucknow emerged victorious, securing both first and second place, while IIT-BHU claimed the third position in a closely contested battle that remained intense until the final moments.
- Winners: Vibhav Tripathi & Prasant Singh Chauhan (IIM Lucknow)
- Runners-up: Faheem Shanavas & Deepak Kumar Saha (IIM Lucknow)
- Third place: Sanjeev V. A. & S. Vigneshswaram (IIT-BHU)
On the occasion, N S Rao, Regional Executive Director (NR), congratulated the winners and participants, commending NTPC’s initiative to foster a culture of quizzing among young minds.
He highlighted the significance of this year’s edition, coinciding with NTPC’s 50th anniversary, a milestone celebrating five decades of commitment to nation-building. Since its inception in 2004, the NTPC Electron Quiz has evolved into a prestigious platform this year’s theme, was ‘The World of Business and Management,’
The winners were felicitated by Rao in the presence of Smt. Vijaya Rao, President of Uttara Club, along with senior NTPC officials, including GM (OS), GM (HR), and esteemed members of the Uttara Club.
NTPC is marking its 50th anniversary this year. India’s largest integrated power utility, is organizing the Electron Quiz 2025 across nine regional locations—Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Ranchi, Noida, Raipur, and Patna—between February 1 and 28, 2025.
The top two teams from each region will advance to the National Semi-Finals, with the best teams progressing to the National Finals.
