Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur successfully organised its first-ever business conclave,
marking a significant milestone in fostering insightful discussions and strategic thinking.
The event also witnessed enthusiastic participation from diverse teams in the Boardroom Simulation, culminating in an enriching experience for all involved. The coveted title for the winner was given to ‘Team Infinite Warriors’ for showcasing exceptional business acuity during the boardroom simulation.
Continuing the momentum into the second day, the panel discussion centered around “Navigating Digital Transformation: Strategies for Industry Disruption.” Prof. Santanu Bhadra, Assistant Professor of Strategic Management, expertly moderated the discussion. Distinguished speakers at the conclave provided thought-provoking insights. Mohit, CFO of Areteans, emphasized the evolving landscape of digital transformation, focusing on evaluating and strengthening processes for increased resilience.
Ms. Anupama Vemparala, Managing Director at Deloitte Consulting, delved into the challenges of achieving scale in sectors through digital means, stressing the critical alignment of business intent with digital solutions.
Dhawal Moghe, Head of Supply Chain at ESME Consumer Products, highlighted the paradigm shift from physical to digital interfaces. He underscored the importance of digital exclusivity for better forecasting and discussed the upcoming challenge of transitioning digital data to physical interfaces in the next two decades. Shri Harjeet Singh, Founder of EduEdgePro Pvt Ltd, brought attention to the rapid digital disruption accelerated by COVID-19, particularly in Asset Management.
The valedictory session, featuring Dr Kamalpreet Singh, IAS, Secretary PWD, Government of Chhattisgarh, addressed crucial topics such as renewable energy, the transition to electric vehicles, and the ethical considerations in navigating complex issues. Dr. Singh urged disruptive strategies in manufacturing and logistics, emphasizing the alignment of individual passions with broader social goals for sustainable success.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Ramkumar M, Associate Professor – Operations & Qty Tech, expressing gratitude for the successful conclave. He acknowledged the pivotal role of Consulere, the Consulting Club of IIM Raipur, in conceptualizing the Boardroom Simulation.
Prof. Kumar extended heartfelt thanks to all the esteemed guests who contributed to the event’s success. He also recognized the collaborative efforts of various IIM Raipur clubs – Anasys, Arthniti, Consulere, Finatix, Mantra, and Optus – in collaboration with The Students Affairs Committee to organize this groundbreaking event. The conclave provided a platform for intellectual discourse and laid the foundation for future editions that promise to delve even deeper into business strategy, innovation, and sustainable growth.
