IIM Raipur, NIELIT ink deal for academic collaboration

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur and National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for academic collaboration.

In an event hosted by IIM Raipur, the agreement was signed by Prof. Ram Kumar Kakani, Director, IIM Raipur and Dr. Madan M Tripathi, Director General, National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Prof. Kamal K Jain, Dean Academics, and members of the new opportunity committee were also present on the occasion.

In a statement issued here, IIM Raipur said given that both these two institutions have their respective expertise, knowledge, and resources, the MoU was signed between the two parties with the purpose of academic collaboration that will encompass exchange of students and members of faculty between the two parties as well as other academic activities, research, and publication. Besides, active efforts will be made to develop joint training and research programmes that will be pursued in a collaborative spirit.

The collaborative areas among others will pertain to faculty development programmes, enhancing skill of working professional, student internship, and joint consulting projects. The MoU expresses a mutual desire by National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology and IIM Raipur to cooperate in building intellectual and research capacity and scholarship. Both the parties wished for a long-term association and agreed upon collaboration in mutually agreeable academic events, teaching, training, and research, wherever feasible.
