The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur organized an exhibition titled “Remembering the Horrors of Partition” to recall the deeply significant historical event of India.
The event was curated under the guidance of the Ministry at IIM Raipur on Monday. The event aimed to pay homage to the pain and sacrifices endured during the Partition era with an informative exhibition post the program.
The day commenced well with the gathering of students, marking the beginning of the program. A solemn Lamp Lighting ceremony and introduction by the emcee were followed by an address from Prof. Ram Kumar Kakani, Director of IIM Raipur.
Attendees of the ceremony were moved by the emotions carried by the patriotic Song performed by the students, leading to a speech by Col. (Dr.) Harindra Tripathi (Retd.), Chief Administrative Officer, IIM Raipur. The event concluded with the resounding notes of the National Anthem, with the attendees departing to experience the exhibition.
The exhibition served as a tribute to resilience and unity in the face of historical challenges. It stood as a testament to the bravery of those who faced the Partition’s tribulations while being a solemn reminder of the importance of unity and understanding.
