Nava Raipur, December 12
IIM Raipur emerged victorious in the Raipur Regional Round of the prestigious NTPC Electron Quiz 2025-26 held on December 12, 2025 at Pt Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College, Raipur wherein 90 teams from different Management and Engineering Institutes of the state participated.
The winning team comprised S P Santanu and Jeevan Jin Jose. In the engaging and stimulating quiz event, while Team NIT Raipur comprising Abhay Sen and Manas Chilamwar secured Second Position; the GEC Bilaspur Team Comprising Vikalp Bardekar and Arman Arif bagged the Third Position.
While the winning team received Rs 60000; the second and third team received Rs 40000 and Rs 20000 respectively. The consolation prize of Rs 8000 was given to the teams bagging fourth, fifth and sixth positions.
The quiz competition began with an on-spot written round followed by audio-visual/buzzer round which was conducted by renowned quiz master Gautam Bose from Greycell. The top two teams from the regional round will now advance to the semi-final and national final, scheduled to be held in Noida on 18th and 19th December 2025, respectively.
Earlier addressing the participants, Diwakar Kaushik, Regional Executive Director (WR-II) and CEO-NSPCL stated that NTPC not only powers the nation with energy, but also ignites the brilliance of young
minds with engaging and stimulating events like Electron Quiz. He further added that the enthusiasm and preparedness displayed by these young participants reflect the promising future of India’s technical and
managerial talent.
The event was graced by Bilash Mohanty, AGM-HR and other NTPC officials along with a large audience comprising students from various engineering and management institutions across the state.
