Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Sunday said some people holding high posts were making unnecessary comments and this was not acceptable to the people of the state.

The comment was apparently aimed at Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. And when Pawar was targeting the Governor at Pune’s MIT College ground, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Koshyari were both present. The Prime Minister was inaugurating various development projects.

Koshyari’s reported remark recently that Samarth Ramdas was the guru of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had come under the scanner of leaders of the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA-comprising the Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress) in Maharashtra. Even BJP expressed its reservation.

On Sunday, Modi was in Pune to inaugurate the metro and other development projects. “I want to bring one thing to the prime minister’s notice,” Pawar said while speaking at the function. Of late, some people holding important positions are making unnecessary comments that are not acceptable to Maharashtra and its citizens.
