Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the interim trade agreement framework between India and the United States represents a historic step toward further strengthening India’s global economic credibility and capacity, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said.
CM Shri Sai stated that the agreement is expected to provide enhanced access to the United States market for Chhattisgarh’s micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). He noted that sectors such as forest-based products, handloom and handicrafts, textiles and agriculture-linked industries would benefit from new opportunities for exports, investment and employment, offering particular advantages to the state’s youth.
Chief Minister Shri Sai emphasized that the trade framework has been designed with full safeguards for farmers’ interests and rural livelihoods. He said the agreement would also accelerate women’s empowerment, strengthen the global branding of local products and further reinforce the spirit of the Make in India initiative.
Reiterating the broader impact of the agreement, CM Shri Sai said the India–US Interim Trade Agreement would open new economic pathways for Chhattisgarh. He added that, as India moves toward the goal of Viksit Bharat 2047, Chhattisgarh remains fully committed to playing a strong and active role, with the agreement expected to give fresh momentum to the state’s inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
